It all began with a vision. In 2016 Jerry Houston opened Garland Mercantile at 823 W Garland Ave in Spokane, WA. His goal was to sell unique local product from Spokane and the PNW.
In 2020, during unprecedented times, Taryn and Zack met Jerry and fell in love with Garland Mercantile. With so many small businesses struggling, they knew the Mercantile was needed more than ever. They saw it’s potential and offered Jerry an early retirement, which began their adventure as the new owners.

We both have a passion for unique local products and farm fresh produce. We wanted a place where we could share these items with the community, so when the opportunity came along to open Garland Mercantile, we knew it was meant to be.
Our store offers all of the items you would find at your local farmers market and more! We source our products and produce from the Pacific Northwest, while keeping quality and freshness in mind. When you support us, you support local farms and artisans. So come in and try a few samples, find a unique gift, pickup some Greenbluff produce, and say hello. We can’t wait to meet you!

We work with local farmers to source quality produce that is fresh and affordable. The owner even harvests as much as possible herself!
